Job Summary

Otraco International is seeking a highly skilled OTR Tyre Technician to join our team at the Mt Thorley mine site in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive tyre changes/maintenance on a range of mobile mining equipment, providing continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel.

  • Carry out routine inspections and assess wheel components to remain in service; enter data into our revolutionary tyre management system
  • Maintain pressures and quality in accordance to site specifications
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
  • Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/AUR21920 preferred
  • Valid Open Class driving licence
  • Possess high level of initiative and ability to work well under pressure
  • Understanding that safety is paramount, with high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
  • Possess high level of maturity, initiative and ability to work well under pressure
  • Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace training or Frontline Management desirable
