**Contract Administration Specialist**

The Logistics Services Administration team is a small unit of professionals positioned in the Directorate of Warehousing & Distribution Services within the Joint Logistics Command. The role involves accountability for contract administration, developing and updating key contract documentation, and providing advice on legal principles and commercial risk requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Accountable for contract administration of contracts managed by the Logistics Operations Branch, including review and submission of contract change proposals and amendments.
  • Develop and/or update key contract documentation to ensure alignment with the Contract Management Framework.
  • Seek, interpret, and provide advice on legal principles, legislative and mandatory policy compliance obligations, and critical commercial risk and performance requirements.
  • Engage and negotiate with industry partners and stakeholders on complex contract management issues.

**Requirements:**

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to build and sustain productive relationships.
  • Excellent written communication skills for various documentation types.
  • High level of attention to detail and understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Policies.
  • Ability to manage resources, set priorities, and develop strategies to achieve business outcomes.
  • Outcome-focused mindset with ability to get practical results.

**About Our Team:**

The Logistics Operations Branch is an integrated team contributing to the JLC mission of enabling Australian Defence Force operations and readiness. The team provides warehousing, distribution, clothing, retail stores, maintenance, and support services via national and international logistics services contracts delivered by industry partners.

This role requires high-level stakeholder engagement and accountability under broad direction to perform and achieve complex contract management tasks within an integrated workforce.
