About the Role:
">We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Division at Northern Health. As a key member of our team, you will work with consumers who experience complex mental health conditions and provide high-quality occupational therapy services.
">Responsibilities:
">- Provide occupational therapy services to consumers with complex mental health needs in various settings, including acute inpatient, emergency, and community-based teams.">
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and wellness.">
- Conduct assessments, interventions, and consultations to support consumers' occupation-based goals and outcomes.">
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in evidence-based practice, group work, and sensory modulation interventions.">
Requirements:
">- Degree-qualified Occupational Therapist with current registration with AHPRA.">
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in mental health or a related field.">
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands.">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with consumers, carers, and healthcare professionals.">
- Commitment to embedding recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and co-design into practice.">
