Port Operations Specialist

As a Shipping Support Officer, you will gain expertise in handling and transporting dangerous goods at commercial ports in NSW. This role involves supporting the development and testing of the OnePort Port Management System, specifically the dangerous goods module.
The Role Description- Ensure the OnePort system meets requirements for PANSW and external stakeholders by implementing processes that meet regulatory standards.
- Develop comprehensive documentation of change processes for internal and external audiences, including video or online learning materials.
- Participate in meetings, reviews, estimations, providing a test and customer-centric view for comments and suggestions.
- Collaborate with the Dangerous Goods team and OnePort Delivery to leverage knowledge and provide ongoing feedback.
- Perform other duties as directed by Manager Compliance and Planning or OnePort test manager.
- Familiarity with port operations in a large commercial port environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Relationship management skills to establish trust with key partners and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the job.
- Able to multitask and meet key deadlines while prioritizing tasks effectively.
