Job Title: Risk Management Specialist

Administer and manage the permit-to-work process digitally to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing and evaluating Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Auditing works undertaken by personnel and subcontractors holding a permit to work to guarantee compliance with safety regulations.
  • Signed permits and issuing Permits to Work for high-risk tasks, ensuring employees are adequately trained and equipped.
  • Reviewing completed permits and identifying non-compliances with the permit-to-work procedure to implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or relevant safety qualifications to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety principles.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems to efficiently manage digital workflows.
  • Ability to interpret and explain relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures to stakeholders.
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Relevant industry experience in delivering work scopes in line with permit-to-work systems to provide valuable insights.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • High attention to detail with competency in reviewing documents and drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information effectively and diplomatically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams to streamline workflow and improve productivity.
