Mental Health Specialist

The Monash Health CAMHS and Schools Early Action (CASEA) Program is a collaborative initiative between Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS), the Department of Health, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD), and Catholic Education Office of Melbourne (CEOM). This early intervention program is designed to provide support to children identified as being at risk of developing serious behaviour problems, including Conduct Disorder.
The CASEA Clinician will work in school settings, providing group interventions to children and parents, as well as therapeutic support to the 'system' around the young person. The role involves collaboration with education staff to deliver interventions, identify and assess children and parents for suitability, and facilitate referrals to relevant mental health service providers.
The successful candidate will be employed by Monash Health Early in Life Mental Health Service and will be required to travel to and work from various Monash Health sites or teams as directed. The role requires flexibility around start and finish times, as education sessions may extend beyond standard business hours.
About YouWe are seeking a qualified and experienced mental health professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent mental health, with experience in early intervention and school-based settings. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing, is essential.
The successful candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work collaboratively with education staff, parents, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality support to children and families.
