The Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) is a comprehensive assessment and treatment service that provides urgent, short-term, or ongoing intensive community-based mental health support to individuals requiring acute mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community-based mental health assessments of individuals in an acute phase of a psychiatric disorder, including comprehensive risk assessments.
- Provide recovery-oriented practice, family and carer inclusive practice, and supported decision-making services.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in community-based mental health assessment and treatment.
- Strong knowledge of the mental health service structure, including public health and community support services.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and with consumers, families, and carers.
