Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Monash Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based interventions, including individual and group therapy, to support children and adolescents in achieving their mental health goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Develop and implement care coordination plans to ensure seamless transitions between services and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant degree in a mental health-related field, such as psychology, social work, or occupational therapy.
- Postgraduate qualifications or experience in child and adolescent mental health.
- Registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
