Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team and support day-to-day operations
  • Mentor junior chefs to ensure consistency, creativity, and quality across every dish
  • Oversee your section and ensure smooth kitchen operations in line with hotel and brand standards
  • Support the development of menus, kitchen organisation, and team leadership
  • Ensure strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance standards are maintained
  • Manage stock levels, control costs, and minimise waste
  • Train, inspire, and guide junior team members in their culinary development
Requirements
  • Certificate or Diploma in Commercial Cookery (from a registered training provider)
  • Previous experience in a hotel or busy restaurant kitchen, with some shift leadership responsibility
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
