Job Title: Executive Chef Assistant

The Role:
  • Assist the Senior Chef in managing daily kitchen operations across multiple outlets, ensuring seamless execution of food quality, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to menu planning and execution, including catering and café offerings that showcase local produce and creative flair.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and consistent portioning, optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs, reinforce safety protocols, and provide leadership support to the Senior Chef as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef Assistant or senior role in high-volume kitchens, with relevant certification (e.g., Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery).
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles, HACCP procedures, and a passion for sustainable practices and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude, lead by example, and demonstrate integrity, honesty, and fairness in all interactions.
  • Flexible, willing to learn, and grow, with a calm demeanor in high-pressure environments.
