Chef Position

Our organization is seeking an experienced and accomplished culinary professional to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting menus, estimating food and labor costs, monitoring the quality of dishes, and managing a team of skilled kitchen staff.

The selected individual will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and expertise in menu planning and execution, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and mentoring new team members. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of kitchen management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute menus that meet the needs and preferences of our customers;
  • Estimate food and labor costs and ensure that they are within budget;
  • Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation;
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and mentoring new team members;
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen;
  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment;
  • Attend meetings and contribute to discussions on improving kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification;
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor during peak periods.
