The successful candidate will be responsible for completing repairs, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring all work is carried out with a high level of quality.
With strong diagnostic capabilities and a keen eye for detail, this individual will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet's performance and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of engine systems, including Cummins and industry standards.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex engine issues.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a recognized trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle) and relevant experience in heavy diesel products, mining equipment, and power generation.
- Australian recognized Trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle).
- Apprentice-trained engine technician (desired).
- Service and maintenance experience in heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines, including engine overhauls and major repairs.

- Diagnostics Application: Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plans; troubleshoots issues following guided workflows and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
- Electrical Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage; applies basic electrical theories and electronics components knowledge using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Electronic Service Tool Application: Identifies and utilizes electronic tool sets to maintain and diagnose products efficiently.
- Engine Systems Interactions: Interprets and analyzes interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems to diagnose and repair products effectively.
- Product Repair and Maintenance: Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, ensuring quality repairs and minimizing customers' cost of ownership.
- Service Documentation: Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information; captures specific data using required service tools.
- Technical Escalation: Obtains product technical issue information, utilizes available resources, and elevates issues to higher levels of expertise for seamless transitions.
- Values Differences: Recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.
As a key member of our team, you will be expected to adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to your supervisor.
