Key Operations Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at our Lurnea facility in Sydney.

The primary focus of this role is ensuring the operation is consistently safe, compliant, profitable and cost-efficient. This will be achieved by ensuring you have the right level of resources and equipment across the forthcoming days and weeks of the operation.

  1. Collaborate with your peers and managers in your team to ensure a robust plan is in place to deliver the daily plan to our customers.
  2. Use your focus on Continuous Improvement to support efficiency and improve productivity, all the while ensuring that safety comes first in everything we do.
  3. Consistently ensure our team members are recognised for their great work and that together, we are developing a strong, values-based and engaged culture.
  4. Closely monitor and actively manage costs to reduce waste and maximise value against contract requirements.
  5. Determine hourly/daily/weekly labour and equipment requirements aligned to shift, workload and safety obligations.

About You

We're looking for a proven people leader who values safety and is customer obsessed. Ideally, you will also be very familiar with a similar retail/distribution operating framework and understand some of the key challenges and opportunities associated with this model.

Qualification in Logistics Management or relevant business discipline would also be beneficial, combined with a solid understanding of profit and loss and other KPIs that help contain storage, handling and distribution costs.
