About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at UGL. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering and administrative coordination for the design, supply, construction, and testing of projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that projects are completed in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner, meeting contractual arrangements with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that projects are constructed to technical, quality, and customer requirements.
- Ensure that surveys of installations throughout the project are conducted professionally, with all results reviewed and accepted as correct, and actions coordinated and documented.
- Assist the Project Manager with compliance to documentation required under the UGL Management System.
- Liaise with the Construction Manager to ensure that projects are on schedule.
- Provide a focal point for all technical-based queries for associated civil/structural subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide engineering advice for subcontractors/suppliers.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly reports and attending monthly report meetings with clients.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering qualification.
- Significant engineering experience throughout design, construction, and commissioning on Brownfields and Greenfields projects.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written), including negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with various people at different levels, both internally and externally.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
