Project Officer

The University of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Officer to join our team in the School of Languages and Cultures. This is a fixed-term, part-time position for 40% of full-time hours until 30 June 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Support the successful delivery and administration of the Language Data Commons of Australia (LDaCA) project, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Coordinate the development and management of project documentation, including how-to guides and training materials.
- Organise and support the delivery of project-related activities, events, consultation activities, and meetings.
- Undertake a range of administrative activities to support the project team, including note-taking, summarising for reports and briefs, and undertaking complex data entry, retrieval, and document management.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements, including planning, developing materials, and facilitating stakeholder participation in the project.
- A degree or diploma in a discipline such as linguistics, Indigenous studies, or data science, with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills, ability to forward plan, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, and work with a high level of adaptability, both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent oral, written, and stakeholder engagement communication skills, with proven ability to produce clear, succinct documentation and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a research environment.
- Strong digital literacy skills.
- Desirable: proven experience working with Indigenous communities, people, knowledge, or data.
- Desirable: previous experience working as part of a project team or in a similar role.
