Essential Qualifications & Skills
A degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field is required for this senior role. Demonstrated expertise in Commonwealth and WA State approvals processes is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
Leading complex environmental and planning approvals processes is a key responsibility. This includes providing strategic advice across project life cycles and liaising with regulators, clients, and stakeholders. You'll also oversee compliance with relevant legislation and policy, develop and review technical environmental documentation, and support tender preparation and proposal development.
As a leader, you'll be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior and mid-level staff, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely delivery of approval milestones. Representing clients in negotiations and consultations is also an important duty, as is driving continuous improvement in approvals practices.
