This role involves monitoring and overseeing derivatives activities to ensure compliance with policies, regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and conduct oversight and monitoring of derivatives activities in Australia.
  • Act as the second line of defence, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Review and monitor client communications (including calls and emails), providing feedback to employees on regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Perform compliance monitoring, report results and recommend improvements to derivatives activities and controls.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to develop and maintain a derivatives data warehouse using Power BI.
  • Apply strong monitoring practices through interviews, file reviews, data analysis, document checks and review of recorded conversations.
  • Produce timely monitoring reports highlighting emerging risks, trends or patterns, with recommendations for management action.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in derivatives, preferably in FX options.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while contributing effectively in a team environment.
  • Confident communicator able to engage with stakeholders in a robust yet commercially-minded manner.
  • Experience with Power BI or data analysis tools is an advantage.
