Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Sydney office as a Senior Associate in projects related to energy and renewables. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the growth of our Australian Projects team by supporting a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working on large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia, encompassing wind (onshore and offshore), solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid projects. The scope includes drafting, negotiating, reviewing and advising on project documentation, such as Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Technical Specifications and Instructions (TSI), Safety and Inspection (S&I), Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Balance of Plant (BOP) contracts.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with a collegiate and market-leading team of construction and renewable energy specialists, providing expert advice and guidance on project delivery. Additionally, you will be involved in business development activities, collaborating with our broader energy sector team.

  • At least 8 years post-qualification experience gained in private practice as an Australian-qualified lawyer.
  • Demonstrated experience working in front-end construction law, preferably with energy sector experience (wind, solar, battery).
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to assimilate information quickly and handle multiple priorities under pressure or within tight timeframes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confidence to liaise with clients and diverse stakeholder audiences.
