Job Overview

Care workers are responsible for delivering care and support services to clients in their own homes. This role involves enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care, enabling them to maintain independence where possible.

  • Deliver exceptional care and support services to clients, including personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, and toileting. Medication assistance, meal preparation, and domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks are also included.
  • Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, and work autonomously in the community using digital schedules and care plans via mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support services to clients with diverse needs.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Prepare meals and assist with household chores.
  • Administer medications and perform other medical-related tasks as required.
  • Engage clients in activities that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and physical activity.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, or Disability is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 6 months relevant care worker experience for those without a relevant Certificate.
  • Valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and follow digital schedules and care plans.
