Site Engineer Job Description

Our client, a top-tier civil contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a road construction project in Metro Melbourne.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities on-site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including earthworks, paving, drainage, and utilities installation.
  • Monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out as per the project schedule and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify any potential issues or deviations from the plans.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and material inventory.
  • Assist in resolving any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Implement and enforce safety measures on-site to ensure the well-being of all workers and compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on road projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse team.
