Our client, a top-tier civil contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a road construction project in Metro Melbourne.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities on-site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including earthworks, paving, drainage, and utilities installation.
- Monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out as per the project schedule and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify any potential issues or deviations from the plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and material inventory.
- Assist in resolving any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Implement and enforce safety measures on-site to ensure the well-being of all workers and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on road projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse team.

Experience with a tier 1-2 Australian Civil contractor is a must, and ideally experience working on road projects with Victorian road regulations.
