About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Privacy Compliance Specialist to join our Risk and Compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a robust privacy framework that enables compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulatory requirements across the organisation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support the enhancement and implementation of a robust privacy framework that ensures alignment with regulatory requirements and provides effective communication and training on requirements.
- Develop, review, and maintain privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
- Undertake assessments of privacy-related incidents ensuring timely investigation, reporting, and resolution.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments.
- Monitor and oversee privacy practices to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
- Prepare reports on privacy compliance status, incidents, and risk assessments to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role in regulatory compliance or legal with experience in Australian financial services industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and the ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way.
- Ability to manage deliverables with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
