Transportation Planner

As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in scheduling and coordinating the movement of specialized equipment to ensure efficient delivery of bulk goods. You will work closely with our fleet maintenance department to plan and execute routine maintenance, ensuring that all vehicles are well-maintained and running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating the movement of specialized equipment
  • Managing site levels and daily usage
  • Managing load request times for customers and communicating effectively
  • Liaising with our fleet maintenance department to ensure effective planning of scheduled maintenance
  • Ensuring safe, cost-effective, and reliable distribution of bulk goods
  • Capturing data and safety statistics for client KPIs
  • Establishing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying operational process improvements and implementing initiatives
  • Daily reporting on activity, forward planning, and delivery volumes

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in scheduling (DG experience highly regarded)
  • Current Driver's Licence (MC highly regarded)
  • Strong organizational, planning, and computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
