About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our HR team at Whittens. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to our operational leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Advice and Support: Provide best practice HR advice and support to operational leaders and employees on employment and industrial relations matters.
  • HR Investigations and Resolution: Conduct investigations and resolve HR issues, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
  • HR Initiatives and Projects: Develop and implement HR initiatives and projects to support the company's strategic HR plan.
  • Enterprise Agreement Negotiation: Negotiate and bargain Enterprise Agreements with employees and unions.
  • HR Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Workforce Planning and Mobilisation: Support workforce planning and mobilisation activities, including onboarding new starters.
  • HR Correspondence and Reporting: Develop and generate HR correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
About You
  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years' experience at a senior level.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the construction or mining industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of HR legislation and industrial relations, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and motivate others.
