Job Overview

Data governance is a critical aspect of modern business operations. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the organization's data strategy and driving commercial outcomes through data-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Lead: Promote and support an organizational understanding of data governance principles, develop and define data governance policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
  • Data Definition Expert: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the type of data captured across the business and ensure large and complex data is accessible, understandable, and usable by all stakeholders.
  • Process Designer: Define and implement data management processes that ensure data quality and integrity, improve the design of data stewardship and governance processes in alignment with the organization's data strategy and roadmap.
  • Quality Monitor: Monitor alignment to data governance policy, standards, and best practices for data management and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data solutions build and ensure best governance practices.
  • Process Improvement Specialist: Establish, educate, and promote best practices for dashboard and visualization management.
About You / Qualifications

We are looking for a skilled professional who has:

  • Cloud Experience: Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • BI Skills: Strong skills in Power BI and data visualization tools.
  • Tech Exposure: Familiarity with GIT, Python, SQL, and metadata management concepts.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to drive commercial outcomes through data-driven projects.
  • Data Governance Knowledge: Good understanding of data governance best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Policy Experience: Experience in defining data governance policy, data management procedures, and data quality standards.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in using data governance tools such as MS Purview or equivalent.
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, or IT preferred.
