Chief Data Strategy Director

We are seeking a Chief Data Strategy Director to drive the organisation's data strategy, shaping how data is designed, governed and leveraged across the business. This is a senior role with a focus on building a new Customer Data Platform (CDP), while partnering with multiple data teams and business units to deliver scalable, secure and future-ready solutions.
Data Strategy and Architecture- Define and evolve enterprise-wide data strategy, architecture and patterns across the Azure stack.
- Lead the design of scalable, secure, cloud-based data platforms, ensuring strong foundations for ingestion, transformation, storage and analytics.
- Architect and oversee the build of a new Customer Data Platform, enabling cross-business collaboration and data-driven customer engagement.
- Partner with engineering teams, product leaders and business stakeholders to align data capabilities with organisational goals.
- Champion data governance, privacy and security across multiple business units.
- Provide technical leadership to data engineers and solution teams, ensuring consistency in design and delivery.
- Extensive experience as a Data or Enterprise Architect, ideally in complex, transformation-driven environments.
- Deep technical expertise in Azure data services (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Purview, Fabric, etc).
- Strong background in designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and integration patterns.
