About This Role:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Homelessness Support Specialist.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in case management, crisis intervention, and community development.
  • They will be responsible for conducting comprehensive needs assessments, providing ongoing support and guidance, and facilitating crisis response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments: Gather information on clients' housing situations, mental and physical health needs, and other relevant factors to develop personalized support plans.
  • Provide Case Management Services: Offer regular check-ins, coaching, and advocacy to help clients achieve their housing goals and address other needs.
  • Facilitate Crisis Response: Respond quickly to immediate housing crises, providing timely assistance and support.
  • Develop Capacity Building Plans: Assist clients in developing skills and resources to prevent future homelessness.
  • Collaborate with Community Partners: Work with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services and support to clients.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in leadership, including leading and supporting teams and individual staff.
  • Experience and knowledge of case management practices.
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention and assessment with strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Valid driver's licence, Working with Children Check, and Police Check.

What We Offer:

  • A salary of $93,860 per annum, plus superannuation and annual indexation
