About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Partnerships Coordinator to join our organisation, The Smith Family, a children's education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

This role will deliver and assist in areas of opportunities to the students on the Learning for Life program to fulfill their educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with schools and community services to provide additional and ongoing support to participants of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of the Learning for Life program in a designated community.
  • Work with a prioritized group of students and families on their identified goals and develop actions related to these goals.
  • Link families with services, information, and support as identified.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner schools to support the educational outcomes of Learning for Life students.

  • High-level interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting and facilitating
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including computer literacy, data management, and time management
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and plan own work to achieve identified goals within time constraints
  • Flexibility to respond to competing demands
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Holds a current driver's license
  • Has or is willing to obtain an employee Working With Children's Check
