We are seeking an experienced Developmental Educator to join our team at Everyday Independence in Bendigo. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work with individuals with disabilities to empower them to live fulfilling lives.
About the RoleThis is an ongoing full-time or part-time opportunity, with a minimum of 4 days per week. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from $83,582 to $100,342, including annual leave loading and superannuation.
Key Responsibilities- You will provide person-centered support and planning for individuals with disabilities, their families, and support teams.
- Build strong relationships to help individuals envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities.
- Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits, problem-solve challenges, and champion the role of a social model practitioner.
- Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible to be a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement).
- Be passionate professionals with a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
- Show empathy and understanding, while being open and non-judgmental.
- Be driven to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives.
- Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check.
