We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Developmental Educator to join our team in Bendigo. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with participants and their support networks to empower individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide person-centered support and planning to individuals with disabilities, their families, and support teams. You will build strong relationships to help them envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities for people of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments using evidence-based tools to identify participant needs and goals.
  • Liaise with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Support participants in their everyday environments, promoting independence and capacity building.
  • Collaborate with support teams to ensure capable environments that foster growth and development.
  • Prioritize reflective practice to inform evidence-based planning and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible for DEAI membership.
  • Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
  • Show a passion for delivering high-impact outcomes in people's lives.
