About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Due Diligence Lead to join our Financial Crime Surveillance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Customer Due Diligence specialists, ensuring they follow Westpac Group protocols, policies, and procedures when completing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of Customer Due Diligence specialists to achieve compliance and customer outcomes across all Westpac Group brands.
  • Ensure team members are proficient in the life cycle of review from trigger level to customer decision level.
  • Develop and implement capability development strategies for team members.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Finance & Sanctions Operations.
  • Knowledge of overall business processes, support systems, and tools, including AOM practices.
  • Proven people management experience.
  • Ability to utilise business metrics to manage operations and drive efficiency.
  • Knowledge and application of compliance and legislative requirements.
  • Understanding and application of risk management principles.
