Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing protection schemes for HV/MV substations, transmission, and distribution networks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on protection coordination, SCADA integration, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis of HV/MV equipment.

  • Design and develop protection schemes for HV/MV substations, transmission, and distribution networks.
  • Prepare and review relay protection settings, logic diagrams, and scheme drawings in compliance with AS/NZS standards.
  • Carry out protection coordination studies, short circuit analysis, load flow, and stability studies using industry software (ETAP, PowerFactory, DigSILENT).
  • Develop detailed specifications for protective relays, CTs/VTs, circuit breakers, and associated control/protection panels.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the field of protection coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of AS/NZS standards and WHS legislation.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
