Test Analyst and Release Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Test Analyst and Release Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our digital platform team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our applications supporting energy customers across Australia.

About The Role

This position involves working across a range of applications from billing and CRM systems to customer-facing websites and mobile apps, helping to deliver seamless and secure digital experiences. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans in Jira, conducting functional, integration, and end-to-end testing, logging and managing defects, and collaborating with developers and business teams to ensure release readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans in alignment with ENGIE's digital processes.
  • Conduct thorough testing of retail applications, including functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Manage defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and release readiness.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated regression suites using Smart Bear tools (Test Complete, Soap UI).
  • Update scripts to reflect changes in business requirements.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines through seamless Smart Bear–Jira integration.
  • Ensure non-production environments (dev, test, staging) accurately mirror production configurations.
  • Coordinate environment scheduling, refreshes, and data masking in line with privacy regulations.
  • Align testing strategies with project objectives and deliver clear reports on test outcomes and release risks.
