As a strategic officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Office of the Deputy Commissioner by providing high-level information and analysis on various issues within Queensland Corrective Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of high-level information across QCS, including strategic networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage information systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met, and provide professional advice on complex issues.
  • Develop and maintain key data sources and registers for the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, and oversee the strategic analysis of incoming departmental and Ministerial correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Sound experience in leading project management activities, with the ability to think strategically and initiate innovative work that links to strategic objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build effective relationships.
