Senior Leadership Position

This senior leadership role plays a pivotal part in the Office of the Queensland Ombudsman, reporting directly to the Queensland Ombudsman and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Advice: Provide expert guidance to the Ombudsman and Executive Leadership Team on governance, change management, and risk management strategies.
  • Leadership and Oversight: Lead an effective enabling services function incorporating teams across Finance, Facilities, Information Services, Human Resources, Policy, Projects, Governance, Communications, and Administration.
  • Initiative Development: Drive major initiatives to support agency growth and transformation by identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic solutions.
  • Operational Management: Provide operational oversight, lead continuous improvement strategic initiatives, and manage a multi-functional team to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support the Ombudsman by preparing reports and submissions, ensuring alignment with government priorities, and leading negotiations and communications with stakeholders.
