We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to lead the operations of the Central Kitchen. This role involves coordinating and supervising the preparation of quality products, maintaining food safety standards, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cyclical menus that meet the needs of our clients and adhere to physical constraints.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Central Kitchen to ensure high-quality products are delivered.
  • Specify raw ingredients and manage wholesale purchasing costs to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through regular monitoring and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • A relevant degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field, preferably with some work experience; or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Current Food Handlers & Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
  • Proven experience in menu planning, recipe costings, and stock control.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
