About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to fill a dynamic position in our Emergency Department as a Flow Expert. The department provides care to over 48,000 patients annually, with 25% being paediatric patients. Our community is culturally diverse, with 1 in 2 families born overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager to develop models of care and patient flow principles, while serving as a professional role model for staff employed in the unit.
  • Establish key performance objectives to ensure timely provision of access targets across the Emergency Department, Short Stay Unit, and inpatient admissions.
  • Optimise patient flow to achieve timely patient care and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Ensure smooth and expedient movement of all patients through the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit in accordance with the Emergency Access Target key performance indicators.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced nurse who can provide clinical leadership and innovation within the unit. You will be enthusiastic and motivated to drive change, with excellent communication skills, demonstrated knowledge of patient access and flow principles, and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
