
Emergency Department Patient Flow Expert

Establishing effective patient flow is critical to delivering timely care in emergency departments.
The role of an Access and Flow Navigator is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of key performance indicators and the ability to optimise patient movement through the department.
In this position, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to identify and remove barriers impacting access to timely care.
- Establish clear objectives to ensure the timely provision of access targets across the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.
- Develop strategies to promote efficient patient flow, ensuring seamless transitions between departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate timely Emergency Department/Short Stay Unit access and flow.
Requirements:
- Current Nursing Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Emergency nursing.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Emergency Nursing (desirable).
- Demonstrated previous experience in Nursing leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data related to patient flow and access.
