About the Role

This permanent part-time position provides high-quality, safe, person-centered physiotherapy clinical care to a allocated caseload as part of our acute team and servicing the emergency department and short stay unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based, person-centered physiotherapy clinical care as part of the acute team, servicing the emergency department and short stay unit on a rotating roster including regular weekend and public holiday shifts.
  • Ensure a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to patients and their carers.
  • Contribute to providing responsive, flexible physiotherapy care to improve timely and effective care, patient flow and discharge, and subsequently improve patient experience.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised degree in physiotherapy and full current and unlimited registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Broad and relevant clinical physiotherapy skills and experience in an acute hospital setting, with experience in emergency departments and short stay units highly desirable.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt, problem solve and prioritise completing tasks in a timely manner within a complex fast-paced work setting.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
