Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Job Summary:

This challenging role is designed to develop technical capabilities and prepare graduates for future leadership positions. The successful candidate will be involved in strategic improvements and major infrastructure upgrades, supporting long-term career growth.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will embark on a structured two-year program that combines hands-on project experience with formal training and one-on-one mentoring. You will support site-wide hazardous area compliance reviews, assist in designing and delivering end-of-life electrical system upgrades, and contribute to electrical protection assessments and arc flash studies.

You will also deliver capital projects such as PCS server upgrades, coal unloading system improvements, and I/O enhancements, participate in modernising legacy systems, and strengthen electrical reliability. Collaboration with engineers and stakeholders will ensure that projects meet technical, safety, and operational requirements.

A rotation through different sites, including Tasmania and Queensland, will provide opportunities for professional development and exposure to various projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree or near completion
