Information Security Operations Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Operations Analyst to join our team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our Security Operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to information security incidents, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Response and Management: Develop and implement incident response plans to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.
- Security Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor security event logs and analyze data to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business, and Compliance, to ensure effective communication and coordination of security-related activities.
- Security Controls and Processes: Maintain and execute operational security processes to respond to incidents in line with Virgin Australia's policies and standards.
- Security Technologies and Tools: Maintain security technologies and tools, including SIEM and EDR, to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Compliance and Reporting: Support compliance reporting and audit processes as required, ensuring accurate and timely submission of security-related information.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a corporate Information Security environment, or equivalent technical experience in IT/Engineering.
- Experience in security monitoring and identifying security risks and threats.
- Understanding of common adversarial techniques and procedures based on frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
- General awareness of security tooling like SIEM and EDR.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate security risks and influence stakeholders.
