We are seeking an experienced Information Security Operations Analyst to join our team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our Security Operations team, you will play a critical role in monitoring and responding to information security incidents, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze security event logs to identify potential security incidents and respond accordingly
- Collaborate with the Managed Security Services Provider to support 24/7 security monitoring and incident response
- Perform incident response and internal investigations in support of the People Team as required
- Develop and maintain security metrics and reporting to ensure visibility into security events and risk posture
- Implement incremental improvements to technical security controls and processes to enhance the defensive posture
- Support external partners in regular penetration testing of the Virgin Australia environment
- Support compliance reporting and audit processes as required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a corporate Information Security environment, with a strong focus on security operations and incident response
- Experience monitoring and identifying security risks and threats, with a strong understanding of common adversarial techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to credibly represent the SecOps team and influence stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and security technologies, including SIEM and EDR
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and make calculated recommendations based on limited available information
