Information Security Operations Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Operations Analyst to join our team at Virgin Australia. As a key member of our Security Operations team, you will play a critical role in monitoring and responding to information security incidents, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Response and Management: Develop and implement incident response plans to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents, minimizing business disruption and impact.
- Security Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and analyze security event logs, network traffic, and system activity to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Threat Detection and Mitigation: Collaborate with the Security Operations Manager to identify and mitigate potential security threats, ensuring the security posture of Virgin Australia.
- Security Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve security processes and procedures to ensure they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business, and Compliance, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on security-related matters.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a corporate Information Security environment, with a strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience with security monitoring tools, such as SIEM and EDR, and a strong understanding of security event logs and network traffic analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security-related information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
