About the Role">

As a Registered Midwife, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise and passion for midwifery will make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Women's and Newborn Health service at Westmead Hospital. As a Registered Midwife, you will be working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide individualized excellent patient/client care within a health service environment to maximize health outcomes for patients/clients, within a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
  • Multiple opportunities for qualified midwives to work from 2 shifts/week to full-time in rotational positions across Women's and Newborn Health in Westmead Hospital, including antenatal clinics, Birth Unit, and Postnatal.

• Providing high-quality patient care that meets the needs of our patients and their families.

• Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

• Participating in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.

• Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications">

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.

• Previous relevant clinical experience in speciality.

• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.

• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

• Commitment to continuing professional development.

• Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team.
