The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is a regulatory body responsible for ensuring health, safety, structural integrity, well integrity, and environmental management of offshore energy operations in Commonwealth waters. The organization also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR) for the offshore renewables industry.
Responsibilities- Manage a functional team of technical experts to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Lead and manage ongoing regulatory operations in a functional team.
- Provide authoritative and strategic advice on environmental science, risk management, management systems, operations, safety, well integrity, and well operations.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in offshore safety and environmental management in an oil and gas discipline or operations of a regulatory organization and/or major hazard industry. A proven track record in leadership and strategic decision-making is essential.
