Maintenance Fitters are integral to our manufacturing facility

Job Description:
  • The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for the routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes to prevent downtime.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
  • Install, modify and upgrade equipment as required to improve operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with other Maintenance Fitters and the production team to address any mechanical issues that may impact production.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in equipment overhauls and planned shutdowns as needed.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Fitting, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter ideally within the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
