Job Overview

Design and Build Recruitment is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team of professionals in the Custom Home Builders industry. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely estimates for projects, ensuring the company's success in the Sydney market.

The Role

  1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's estimating processes and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with the Operations Manager and external suppliers/subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  3. Prepare and present detailed estimates, including BOQs, purchase orders, and invoices, to clients and stakeholders.
  4. Conduct site visits and takeoffs to gather accurate quantities and pricing information.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements

  1. At least 4+ years of experience in estimating or a related field, preferably in the Custom Home Builders industry.
  2. Proficiency in estimating software and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Trade certificate - Carpentry preferred, but not required.
