Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in Architecture to join our dynamic team. This role involves detailed assessment and cost estimation for a range of insulation projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the insulation industry and the ability to provide accurate, competitive, and timely estimates to support the client's business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Analysis: Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for insulation projects.
  • Estimation Tool Utilization: Utilize the PlanSwift Estimator tool effectively for precise and efficient calculations.
  • Building Codes Application: Understand and apply building codes and standards relevant to insulation.
  • Material Selection: Select appropriate insulation materials and methods for each project, considering factors like thermal performance, moisture control, and fire resistance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather necessary information and negotiate the best pricing.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest insulation technologies and trends.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports detailing the cost breakdown, including materials, labor, and time estimates.
  • Project Management Liaison: Work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project objectives and timelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Estimator with a preference for candidates experienced in using PlanSwift Estimator tool.
  • Knowledge of various insulation materials and their applications.
  • Skilled in estimation software, particularly PlanSwift.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for mathematics.
  • Capability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong background in Architecture to understand and assess design implications on insulation needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
