Advanced Child Protection Practitioner Role Overview

The Child Protection Service After-Hours Team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding vulnerable children, providing urgent support and intervention outside regular business hours. As an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner, you will be part of this critical team, addressing complex cases and situations to ensure the well-being and safety of at-risk children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting timely assessments and interventions in response to new reports of alleged child abuse or neglect
  • Developing and implementing case plans to mitigate identified risks and needs
  • Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services

This role demands a minimum of two years' experience in child and family social work, preferably within child protection. As a member of the After-Hours Service, you will be expected to participate in scheduled work rotations, encompassing night, afternoon, and day shifts.
