Regulatory Investigations Role Overview

This position involves providing legal expertise to manage significant regulatory matters, including litigation and class actions. Key responsibilities include working with external regulators such as ASIC, APRA, ACCC, and SIRA to monitor and proactively address any issues related to legislative and regulatory change.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing regulatory engagement on behalf of the organisation, liaising with external counsel when necessary. Building relationships with stakeholders and networking within the industry is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7-8 years PQE level experience working on complex regulatory investigations, preferably related to financial services regulation. A top-tier trained law firm background and in-house experience are highly desirable.

You will be expected to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, enjoying networking and building relationships easily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on significant regulatory matters, including litigation and class actions.
  • Work with key regulators to monitor and proactively address any issues related to legislative and regulatory change.
  • Manage regulatory engagement on behalf of the organisation.

Requirements:
